Thank You Internet

I found this on the internet.  And, it made me feel just a little bit better.

I've got this major complex about feeling guilty...let's not "get it twisted" (hahahahaha) now, I fee guilty 98% of the time about mostly everything...but let's hone in on the whole working out thing.

I can talk myself out of a workout for such A@% Backwards reasons.

Case #1:  I have eaten poorly that day.  I didn't get up early to work out...run, video...nada.  I then eat a donut at work and stupid jelly beans like there's no tomorrow.  Since I've "ruined" my day of eating, I decide I may as well just pick back up tomorrow with everything.  Workout included.  How insanely backwards is that?  How about go for a run to try and cancel out the diet of high fructose corn syrup, carbs...the bad ones...and 1 orange for the day?  Duh!

Case #2:  Something very similar to Case #1 where I just decide to scrap it for the day and start back up again tomorrow.

Case #3:  Same sad story.

It makes me feel better to see this plastered on the "running motivation" google images page because then I know that I'm not the only one who has this sort of problem.

Thank you internet.  You've made me feel normal once again.

PS.  I have 10 miles to go till I hot 300...for whatever reason, this makes me excited.  If all goes well I'll bust by 300 this week and it's on to 1,000.  That's my goal by December 31.  I'll have to beef up the summer mileage...

  1. Isn't it crazy the games we play in our minds? I didn't wanna go to yoga today because I was afraid I'd be sore for tomorrow's 5k. In reality, who cares? Have a great weekend!
